<B>Fr. 6 $10 1861 Demand Note PMG Fine 12 NET.</B></I> PMG has commented "Ex Grinnell" and also "Split Repairs", which resulted in the NET grade. The piece itself is far nicer than the assigned 12. Both hand-signed signatures are strong, the colors of the note are excellent, and the margins, though quite irregular, are generous everywhere save for the left end of the bottom. Fr. 6 is a rather rare number with only 40 pieces known in all grades combined. The highest grade piece in the Track & Price census is a PMG 30, and this 12 is actually well in the top half of the known pieces by grade. A rather attractive note from this severely under-priced series.<BR><I>From The Thomas M.
