<B>Fr. 356 $2 1891 Treasury Note PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ.</B></I> Union General James Birdseye McPherson, MG of Engineers on Sherman's Atlanta campaign, was immortalized on this well conceived note. McPherson was slain in the Battle of Atlanta, and an Army post constructed there after the war was named in his honor. This fine example of the note which honors him is nicely centered, its colors are vivid, and its overall eye appeal is tremendous for the issue.
