<B>Fr. 314 $20 1886 Silver Certificate PMG Extremely Fine 40.</B></I> We last sold this note in September 2004 (where it realized $12,650), and we described it then ..."Only about 130 examples are known for this type for all four varieties combined, and only about 20 of them grade EF or better. Fr. 314 is the most common of this elite group, with over 60 examples known. But not even one uncirculated note exists, and only four or five notes are as nice as this one. The margins are broad and even, and the ink and paper colors are perfection. There is a single center fold, and there are two much lighter folds, but the note gives the appearance of an uncirculated piece, with its razor-sharp printing and perfect, clean surfaces. A very, very pretty example of a rare and desirable type."
