<B>Fr. 313 $20 1886 Silver Certificate PMG Very Fine 25.</B></I> A very rare note, with a total census of seventeen pieces, which includes this note which Tom acquired from the May 1992 Stack's sale. Since 2000, only low-number higher grade examples have reached the auction market, with three of those four high-grade two-digit examples. Those three all realized over $100,000. The last ordinary-numbered Fr. 313 to auction was a Fine, which we sold in May of 2000 for $7975. This note is a problem-free, solid Very Fine, with great margins, bright color and tremendous eye appeal. It's difficult to get a grip on a realistic estimate for these rare notes when they sell so infrequently, and a larger than ever group of well heeled collectors desires to own them.
