<B>Fr. 290 $10 1880 Silver Certificate PMG Fine 12.</B></I> The census number seems to belie the actual appearances on the market of this Large Red Seal 1880 Ten Dollar Silver. CAA has sold only three; and PMG has graded only four. The nicest one of the PMG notes is just a hair better than this 12, standing at Fine 15. Needless to say, opportunities to acquire a Fr. 290 are measured in <I>years</B></I>, not months, and if you have been looking for a well circulated but solid and problem free example of this number, this is your note.
