<B>Fr. 269 $5 1896 Silver Certificate CGA Gem Uncirculated 67.</B></I> A truly beautiful Five Dollar Educational, with outstanding margins, ideal colors and tremendous eye appeal. It certainly appears to be worth every point of its 67 grade. PMG very nearly agreed, as this note was cut out of a PMG 66 EPQ holder. The paper strip from that holder is included with the lot. PMG has graded an even hundred Fr. 269's up to this time, and they have only graded two pieces higher than the 66 they awarded this note: a single 7 and a single 8. We can locate no auction records for a PMG 66, but a PCGS 66 sold last March for $26,450.
