<B>Fr. 2309* $10 1934A North Africa Silver Certificate. Gem Crisp Uncirculated.</B></I><BR> This piece is an extraordinary note and a major star note rarity. We have seen numerous examples of this star in the low to middle grades, and a fair number of "wannabe uncirculated" examples or notes that claimed to be uncirculated, but this example is one of the very few $10 North Africa stars that we can unhesitatingly label as Gem. It is vividly colored, displays utterly original paper quality, and has the embossing of a note printed yesterday. If this were a regular 1934A North Africa, it would simply be unusually nice. As a star, it is a major rarity, and one of only a handful of pieces we know of with all of the attributes for true Gem status.
