Gem Crisp Uncirculated.</B></I><BR>This piece is an extraordinary note and a major star note rarity. We have seen numerous examples of this star in the low to middle grades, and a fair number of "wannabee uncirculated" examples or notes that claimed to be uncirculated, but this example is the first $10 North Africa star that we can unhesitatingly label as gem. It is vividly colored, displays utterly original paper quality, and has the embossing of a note printed yesterday. If this were a regular 1934A North Africa, it would simply be unusually nice. As a star, it is a major rarity, and the only piece we know of with all of the attributes for true gem status. Expect our estimate to be quickly surpassed by the ranks of star collectors who appreciate just how important this example is.
