Interestingly, about the same number of pieces make it to auction in a given year, illustrating how tightly collectors hold onto high denominations. Dallas $5000s are aesthetically pleasing in high grade, with bright paper, broad margins, and a boldly printed lime green overprint adding to the overall AU appearance of this example.
