PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.</B></I><BR> This lovely item is easily the finest $5,000 note we have been privileged to offer in many years, and the finest to be offered at public auction from any source in at least the past 36 months. According to the PMG census, they have graded a total of 26 $5000 notes from all series and districts, with the highest grade reported to date being Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ, which has been awarded only three times, the last to the example offered here. This note is also the only Kansas City $5000 graded to date by PMG. We have sold two $5000 notes in the past year, both grading 64 and both lacking the PPQ or EPQ designation, with both examples realizing more than $125,000.
