CGA Gem Uncirculated 66</B></I>.<BR> This note came from our 2002 Rosemont auction of the Warren Burnside collection where the description read, "A second beautiful example just six digits removed from the other Dallas 1928 $1000. It is, like its mate, perfectly centered and just the lightest of handling marks removed from superb." The note then realized $23,000 against a pre-sale estimate of $8000-$12000. The winning bidder knew how difficult this district was to obtain over five years ago. Nothing has changed. The embossing remains pronounced and the colors splendid. It is a true rarity from a district that to this day remains extremely difficult to obtain in the higher grade ranges.
