<B>Fr. 20 $1 1875 Engraving Error Legal Tender CGA Choice Uncirculated 64.</B></I> This Fr. 20 has the engraving error that doubles the words "OF 1875" in "SERIES OF 1875." This piece represents the fifth known example of this erroneously engraved plate. An interesting fact is that this same plate was in service long enough to be used for at least three different Friedberg numbers: Fr. 20, 22, and 25. All five examples that we have examined of this error come from plate position "B" of plate 35. Of the five pieces we know, only two are Fr. 20's. This error has been known now for over a decade and although new pieces surely remain to be discovered, it has been years since a new one has shown up.
