<B>Fr. 19 $1 1874 Legal Tender PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.</B></I> A remarkably well-inked note with the seal and large flourish boldly printed in bright red. Both features are almost always light pink on these 1874 One Dollar notes. We suspect that most were printed with this bold, bright color, but as red is particularly susceptible to light and other atmospheric conditions, the great majority have faded over the years. This note is a Superb Gem save for a somewhat narrow right face margin, which without doubt is the cause of the 64 EPQ grade. The note is a 68 in every other sense.<BR><I>From The Thomas M.
