Choice Crisp Uncirculated.</B></I><BR>This example is one of five uncirculated notes listed in the Oakes census, all of which came from a small group purchased in 1994 by long-time Fort Worth dealer R.E. Wallace. This example was hand picked for Dr. Cookson as the best of that group, and has never been offered publicly. It is amazingly well centered for this issue, and is absolutely new and unmolested. It's kept from an even higher grade by some slight handling and a truly miniscule and almost undetectible age spot visible only at the edge of the back's bottom margin. This is without question the finest Dallas $50 that has been available in the past decade, and is a note that is on virtually every collector's want list in this grade. What it will take to obtain this note is a question that will be determined when the hammer falls tonight.
