<B>Fr. 1870-L* $20 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Note. PCGS Very Fine 20.</B></I><BR>One of the most sought after notes in the 1929 FRBN series as a star, this San Francisco note has the added enhancement of certification by PCGS. Our FUN 2005 auction included an uncertified Fine-Very Fine (L0007242*) just a tad away from this note in overall eye appeal. It sold for $8,050. Our 2004 FUN sale sold the Cookson specimen (L00004103*), a Fine-Very Fine that went for $5,750. Prior to that, our 2003 FUN auction placed a Fine with somewhat discolored paper (L00007217*) for $2,472.50. This new discovery gives us the unprecedented privilege of being able to offer one of these excessively rare San Francisco FRBN stars once again at our Florida United Numismatists auction. Although all are within a half grade or so of each other, we deem this example to be the most aesthetically pleasing. With interest in rare stars at an all time high, we anticipate a furious contest to determine which collection will be distinguished by the addition of this rarity to its ranks.
