The only public appearance of either of the known pieces came when Dr. Cookson acquired this note in Lyn Knight's November, 2000 sale, where it realized $8360. In a stronger and far more knowledgeable market, it may well top that figure by a substantial amount this evening. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder.
