Fr. 1199 $50 1913 Gold Certificate PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Track & Price indicates that this is the highest grade PMG or PCGS note of this Friedberg number to reach the auction block. Up until now, each of those two services has had a single 64 sold at auction--a PMG example in our September 2006 sold for $19,550, and a PCGS note in an October 2005 auction sold for $12,075. This note is far superior to either of those two pieces. It is broadly margined, brilliantly colored, and appears to have earned both its high numerical grade and its EPQ designation. Although the census for this number is rather high (approaching 200 pieces), the huge majority are heavily circulated. This gorgeous 66 EPQ note will certainly realize a runaway price--quite likely one in excess of $40,000.
From The Peter Gamble Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
