<B>Fr. 1196 $50 1882 Gold Certificate Extremely Fine.</B></I> A perfectly original note with just a couple too many folds for a Choice AU. The margins are broad for the issue and the red and gold overprints are exceptionally bright. In addition to the quality, the rarity is something to brag about. Currently twenty-three notes are listed in the census and this note is, in our opinion, the second finest known. The only finer note is graded AU and was last offered for sale in 1989.
