<B>Fr. 1192 $50 1882 Gold Certificate PMG Very Fine 25.</B></I> This brilliantly colored large brown seal $50 Gold Note is one of less than a dozen and a half examples of this number. It is rather high up in the census with only three or four circulated examples above it. No Fr. 1192s grading higher than XF are known. This one is a real beauty with broad margins, extremely bright colors, original paper surfaces, and not a hint of a defect. A PMG 45 sold for over $100,000 at last year's Memphis auction. While this note has more circulation, from the sheer point of eye appeal, it is not far behind that piece.
