<B>Fr. 1178 $20 1882 Gold Certificate PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.</B></I> A fabulous Gold Twenty from this popular series, the most common issue of the design and ideal for a high grade type set. In this grade, however, this note is anything but common. The colors are unimpeachable, the paper is flawless, and the original embossing is easily evident. The margins are incredibly broad and the design is nearly perfectly centered on both sides. It is likely that very few other notes could match this example in terms of technical or aesthetic merit, and even the fussiest collector would be pleased with the overall quality. Questioning third party grading is at best unwise, but it is difficult to imagine why this note is in a 66 EPQ holder. At that grade level, once paper quality, color, and originality have been established, the numbers from 66 and above are about margins and centering.
