<B>Fr. 1177 $20 1882 Gold Certificate PMG Very Fine 30.</B></I> Only 29 examples of this Large Brown Seal 1882 Gold Certificate are known in all grades combined. This solid VF is just about mid-point in the census. PMG has graded eleven examples, with six of them below the level of this note. The record for this piece is held by a PMG 66, which we sold in January 2007 for $126,500. Later that same year, a PMG 35 sold for $19,550.
