<B>Fr. 1089 $100 1914 Federal Reserve Note PMG Extremely Fine 40.</B></I> The Track & Price census lists 51 notes, with no uncirculated pieces known. Neither grading service has graded any 1089 above this PMG 40, and this piece stands alone at that level. Fifty-One known examples without a single unc (and only a single AU) seems rather odd to most Federal Note collectors, but Federal Reserve Notes are quite different than the other series. For most numbers, unless a small run was inadvertently saved by some bank, uncirculated examples are a very tiny percentage of the known notes. It is entirely possible that this 40 will remain the highest graded piece for years to come, and perhaps forever.<BR><I>From The Thomas M.
