Captain Kangaroo's personal scrapbooks covering 1969-76. This wealth of material in four black leather binders includes hundreds of clipped items such as newspaper and magazine articles, cartoons and advertising related to Captain Kangaroo. Volume one covers 1969-70 and features a copy of a letter from President Nixon on White House letterhead congratulating Bob Keeshan on the 15th anniversary of the show. Runs 40pp. Volume two covers 1971 and features articles about the Captain's new red jacket look. Runs 23pp. Volume three covers 1972-75 with articles on Bob Keeshan speaking of his concern for children. Runs 26pp. Volume four covers 1975-76 and features Keeshan receiving awards, including his Hollywood Star of Fame. Runs 27pp. All volumes measure 13'' x 14.75''. Light wear, overall in very good condition.
