<B>Four Ninth Plate Images in Double-Sided Case (Krainik 559),</B></I> ca. early 1860s, three tintypes and an ambrotype are placed together in a compartmentalized thermoplastic case having an embossed “Children Playing With Toys” scene on both sides, <I>Krainik 559</B></I>. Some minor chipping along the side where a latch catches. Overall fine condition. Three women and one man, all near in age to one another and having similar features, suggest that this is a family group of siblings. Of particular note is that one of the ladies is wearing sunglasses, suggesting that she is either blind or suffering a sight disorder.
