A) Olin Marine Flare Pistol. All cast aluminum frame and barrel, with left side of finger groove grip marked "25MM FLARE LAUNCHER / FOR MARINE SIGNAL / PURPOSE ONLY / OLIN-EAST ALTON, ILL." with "U.S. PAT. NO. 3168788" on the right side.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains over 95% original gloss black paint with some minor flaking and some minor scratches. The barrel latch has some minor pitting.

B) Introduced in the 1940s. The barrel and frame are numbered to the gun along with "tgf" indicating made for DDR by Brno. Very similar in design to the Polish model also in this auction. Fitted with two piece hardwood grips with a lanyard staple on the butt.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains over 95% original phosphate finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The grips are fine with some minor dings and scratches.

C) This is the smaller version of the No. 1 Mk 5 signal pistol, known as the Mark 5M. The left side of the trigger guard is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND", with the serial number on the barrel and "M601" marked on the hammer. A broad arrow is stamped above the front of the trigger guard on the left side. Fitted with two-piece checkered grips.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original dull blue finish showing some thinning to a brown with a spot of minor oxidation on the right side of the frame. The wrapped grips are very good with numerous minor scratches and some minor nicks in the checkering, with a minor dent on the right panel near the bottom.

D) Late production as introduced in the early 1980s by Ceska Zbrojovka of Prague. Matching numbers on barrel and frame, with the left side of frame marked "she82". Checkered two piece wraparound grips with lanyard staple on the butt.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original blue and painted finish with some minor flaking (mostly on the barrel). The grips are very fine with some minor scratches along with some light chipping on the back of the left panel near the butt. There are a few minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering.
