Four Color Donald Duck Bound Volume (Dell, 1940-49) Condition: Average GD.
Four Color Donald Duck Bound Volume (Dell, 1940-49) Condition: Average GD. This offering has all the earmarks of being a truly "hot property", especially for the many Carl Barks collectors out there! It's a privately produced leather-bound volume of comics from the Four Color series, all featuring Donald Duck: #4 (Series 1, the first color comic devoted to Donald, featuring strip reprints by Al Taliaferro); #9 (Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold, Carl Barks' first comic book work along with Jack Hanna); and the following, all with Carl Barks story and art: #29 (Mummy's Ring); #62 (Frozen Gold); #108 (Terror of the River); #147 (Volcano Valley); #159 (Ghost of the Grotto); #178 (Christmas on Bear Mountain, featuring the introduction of Uncle Scrooge); #189 (The Old Castle's Secret); #199 (Sheriff of Bullet Valley); #203 (The Golden Christmas Tree); #223 (Lost in the Andes); and #256 (The Luck of the North). The only drawback to this wonderful collection of comics is that many of the books have problems, such as brittle pages, pieces missing, tears, tape, and pages loose. With that said, these are all incredibly desirable comics, all loaded with Carl Barks art, available for one price and ready to enjoy!

Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Since eBay bids are not shown to us until we open the lot on the floor, we treat those bids just like floor bids. In most cases the floor responds before the eBay bid is presented to us, due to Internet lag time, so for consistency we have made it a policy that floor bids are always considered first over tie eBay live bids. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
