<B>Four Color #386 Uncle Scrooge - Davis Crippen (""D"" Copy) pedigree (Dell, 1952) CGC VF 8.0 Off-white to white pages.</B></I> It's the very first cover appearance of the miserly yet lovable senior duck, and the issue is considered to be <B>Uncle Scrooge </B></I>#1, although the first three issues were actually under Dell's <B>Four Color </B></I>series. ""Only A Poor Old Man"" by Carl Barks is a must-read for all Duck and Barks fans alike, but don't crack the case on this copy! Keep this one safe and sound, and get yourself one of the more economical reprinted versions (<B>Uncle Scrooge & Donald Duck </B></I>#1 from 1965 or <B>The Best of Walt Disney Comics </B></I>from 1974). Barks also did the cover. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $850.
