<B>Four Color #386 Uncle Scrooge (Dell, 1952) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white to white pages.</B></I> Featuring the story "Only A Poor Old Man" by Carl Barks, this would be the very first cover appearance of Uncle Scrooge. This was also the first of three starring appearances in the <B>Four Color</B></I> title for the miserly duck. Donald, Huey, Dewey, and Louie appear as well, to help ease the old duck into stardom. The cover and interior art are by quintessential "Duck Man" Carl Barks. CGC notes, "'Carl Barks' written on 1st page in pen." Overstreet 2006 VF/NM 9.0 value = $1,425; NM- 9.2 value = $2,000.
