Four Color #108 (Dell, 1946) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages. Carl Barks is one the most beloved artists to ever work in the comic book field. His stories for the Donald Duck titles are legendary. This early issue of Four Color features the story, "The Terror of the River". Unlike most of the snap-shot images that are typical on Disney comic book covers, Barks had the ability to grab the viewer with delightful illustrations that emulated the beautifully rendered adventures inside. Donald and his supporting cast ended up in the most exotic locations when Carl Barks drew the stories. This is a nice copy of a classic tale. Overstreet 2002 FN 6.0 value = $360; VF 8.0 value = $840.
