<B>Forrest J. Ackerman's Personal Copy of John Taine's <I>The Iron Star</B></I>.</B></I> (New York: E.P. Dutton and Co., 1930), first edition, 357 pages, light purple boards with gilt lettering on the spine and front board, 12mo (5.5" x 7.75"), dust jacket (in protective Mylar). This copy is inscribed to the Ackermonster TWICE, both on the front free endpaper. One is a gift inscription with signature, reading, "<I>To My Dearest Pal Forrest Birthday 1931 Linus</B></I>". The other inscription and signature are from the author of the book, John Taine. He writes, "<I>Cordial greetings to F.J.A.- John Taine 7 Sept. 1951</B></I>". Fascinating association copy of two well-known science fiction figures. <B>Condition</B></I>: Both book and jacket are very good.
