The term "Forges ou art du fer" refers to the plates and text about iron production and blacksmithing that were included in the 18th-century French Encyclopédie by Diderot and d'Alembert. The Encyclopédie, ou dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers translated: Encyclopedia, or a Systematic Dictionary of the Sciences, Arts, and Crafts. Bound, hardcover Folio. 45 (+1) pages, 52 plates on the same number of pages. This folio contains a nameplate inside the front cover from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration BAKER LIBRARY, which is stamped "Canceled from Baker Library". The person writing this description is the granddaughter of the person for whom the Baker Library was named.
