<B>Fore-Edge Painting on <I>The Complete Poetical Works of William Cowper</B></I>.</B></I> The painting on the fore-edge depicts several people readying a wooden sailboat to launch into a bay peppered with other small vessels. (Edinburgh: Gall & Inglis, nd), 516 pages, green leather binding with gilt spine lettering and gilt flourish on the boards, 8vo (4.25" x 6.5"). All edges gilt. The painting is in fine condition. The book itself is in very good condition.
