For bidding in this lot is a folk art Native American Indian, miniature cigar store Indian carving. The regal Indian chief is carrying a bundle of cigars in his left hand. These carvings would be placed outside of a tobacco outlet, signifying to passerby's that the establishment sold tobacco products. This carving was well crafted, and shows a hand painted polychrome color pallet, featuring rich earth tones, and vivid greens, reds, and blues. The carving is in good condition overall. The chief measures 30" tall, and 6 3/4" wide.
