From the famous Cody, Wyoming Crescent Moon Ranch on the North Fork of the Shoshone River. This folk art mailbox in the shape of the crescent moon was a landmark for travelers on their way to Yellowstone Park for years. The owner of the ranch was nationally renowned cowgirl Lucylle Moon Hall, a Wild West performer, community leader and inductee into the Cowboy Hall of Fame. The moon is made of galvanized metal and retains much of the original paint, lettering of Crescent (moon) Ranch, 34” tall and 15” deep by 14” wide. The ranch was also known over time as the Moon Crest Ranch, c. 1930s.
