Folding leather valise approx. 21” long, 12” wide and 9” in height with brass clasps, leather handle and gold embossed under leather flap by grip, “WYATT EARP”; in overall worn but good condition andaccompanied by a beautiful gold quartz stick pin and a business card from The DEXTER Saloon, Wyatt Earp, C.E. Hoxsie Proprietors, NOME; also a May 2007 letter from noted Western authority and collector, William H.Gilbert states in part: “It is my understanding that this Valise was at some point in time, part of a estate sale (where Wyatt’s desk was also sold) by one of the members of the family/and or/ via afriend/relative of the Mitchell family in Los Angeles, California . . . Jim Mitchell and family lived only a few doors away from the Earps who lived on 17th Street in Hollywood, California. It is widely known that Josephine gave Jim several of Wyatt’s belongings over the years and believed that this Valise was one of those prized gift’s . . . It was also my understanding that included with the Valise/Satchel was a handful of Wyatt’s

Buyer pays actual costs of packing, materials, shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
