Flown St Christopher Medal (1" tall") taken to the Moon by astronaut Charlie Duke on board the Lunar Module ORION to the Descartes Highlands of the Moon, where it landed on April 20, 1972. The medal spend the next three days on the surface of the Moon. in his Personal Preference Kit (PPK)and was listed on the official stowage list for the Apollo 16 mission. Duke received the medal from his sister before liftoff as a memento for safe travel. Also included with the medal is a copy of a prayer said by the children of The Holy Spirit School. It is illuminated by the Carmelite Nuns in Up Holland England. A hand signed September 18, 2002 certificate of authenticity from Apollo 16 astronaut Charlie Duke is included.
