Flown "Curtiss NC-4" Original Fabric (2x2") recovered by the Smithsonian Institution during restoration and mounted on an 11x16" presentation certificate (professionally matted and framed to 15.5x20") that reads: "The Curtiss NC-4 was the first airplane to complete a trans-Atlantic flight. On May 27, 1919, the flying boat set down on the water of the Tagus River in Lisbon, Portugal. The 4,000-mile flight from Rockaway Beach, New York has been accomplished in nineteen days. The NC-4 is part of the National air and Space Museum and is currently on loan to the Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola Florida". Owning this piece of fabric is to own a piece of aviation history.
