Flown 35mm. Sterling Silver Robbins Medallion (No. 127) in its original plastic case with launch, moon landing and recovery dates engraved on the reverse. 304 Robbins medallions were originally designed by Emilio Pucci (his initials are visible near the bottom) and produced by the Robbins company for the Apollo 15 mission. 127 were flown. These 127 medallions were struck from an ingot of silver salvaged from a Spanish treasure ship which sank near Cape Canaveral. These flown 127 medallions bear the incorrect spelling "Apennines" on the reverse. Medallions number 128-304 were returned to Robbins and melted down and new replacement medallions were struck out of unflown silver. The replacement medallions are identifiable by the correct spelling of "Apennine" and the deletion of Pucci's initials. Here is a chance to acquire one of these very rare medallions. This item has been in Al Worden's possession since the flight. A hand-signed certificate of authenticity from the consigner is included. Attractive. A similar medallion (from Dave Scott's collection) realized almost $7,500 in the Aurora April 2002 sale. Ex. the astronaut Al Worden collection. FLOWN Estimate: $ 5,000 - 7500

Accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity signed by the astronaut.
