This a very unusual lamp. You may look a long time before you find another of its age.

This lamp is a blue onion pattern. As close as I can find this pattern was produced from 1894 to 1924. The maker was J. Uffrecht, Haldensleben earthenware. I found it in a book written by Robert E. Rontgen, The book of Meissen second edition, page 251, top right, fig 505. The lamp has been taken apart and cleaned and rewired, for safety. I do not like to sell lamps unless I know the wiring is in good working condition. The switch is made of porcelain and in good working order. There is a chip on the inside of top of lamp, which does not show because of the cap. I believe this piece was originally a rolling pin, later made into a lamp. The base has a number 1 on the left and on the right is L678. The base is made of cast iron with a brass plating. It will make a fine addition to any collection. If you have any further questions please ask before you buy. Thank You. Rick
