Flobert Paris 6mm Single Shot Rimfire Parlor Pistol

Our Assessment:This is a parlor pistol made Circa 1880s by Louis-Nicolas Flobert of Paris, and is a pioneering step toward modern cartridge ammunition. This pistol was made in 6mm Flobert, essentially a percussion cap with a bullet attached to the top (no additional powder) designed for indoor use. Among other things, these revolvers were designed to be used in homes that had dedicated "shooting galleries" as was the fashion of the day. This pistol rates in about Poor to Fair overall condition due to its mechanics. Otherwise, it is a very nice looking pistol that would look great in any collection of early single shot pistols.
