Flobert .22 caliber salon or gallery pistol showing gold damascened barrel, fancy carved stock, with American eagle and shield incorporated into decoration at breech. The pistol measures 15” overall with 8-7/8” barrel. The barrel is nicely fluted and shows gold damascene decoration with a blued background. 85-95% gold damascening is present, approx. 40-50% blue, some erosion and pinprick pitting, and losses of gold. The action and tang have gone to a dark patina. The stock i dark stained hardwood, possibly ebony, and is good. The mounts have gone to a deep patina and gone to a gold gilt on the butt. The stock shows a loss of wood in the carved area near the breech which extends back approx. 1/4 by 3/8” in a wedge" shape. The action is good, the bore is fair and was never rifled. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
