Flintlock center hammer muff size pistol signed Manufre. A Versaille with Napoleanic era styling made under the direction of Boutet. The pistol measures 6-1/8” overall with 1 and nearly ½” screw type cannon barrel of .46 caliber smooth bore. The frame and barrel are nicely engraved in classic empire motifs. The stock is select burl walnut which shows quality relief scroll carving on the butt. The pistol is numbered 1 and iscompletely original and untouched with all correct small parts. The condition is very good plus with no cleaning. The action works well. Boutet is considered by many to be the finest gun maker who ever lived and a five(5) piece set mounted in gold holds the current record price for firearms sold in America. Est.; $2,500- $5,000
