Flintlock blunderbuss marked Sutherland, London, with flared brass cannon barrel, circa 1780-1810. The gun remains in original good to very good condition with approx. 12” barrel and approx. 1-1/4” bore showing a pronounced flair. The blunderbuss is full stocked to the muzzle with a checkered wrist, hammer safety, British proofs, and left side of breech. The lock is in its original configuration with proper hammer, top jaw, and small parts. The lock shows a dark and uncleaned patina and the barrel shows a light patina also. The stock is good to very good with one large chip of wood missing from the front edge of the lock and small imperfections such as mars, dings, scratches, etc, but nothing else serious. The action is good, markings good, with original ramrod. 27-5/8” overall. Est. $2,000 - $4,000
