Flintlock big game hunting rifle by Parker Field & Son, 233 Holborn St. London. Approx. 6-bore (or nearly 1”) measuring 1-3/8” across barrel flats, rifled from breech to muzzle, deeply rifled. Measures approx. 46-1/4” overall with 30” heavy octagon barrel. Weight is approx. 14-1/2 pounds. Shows a brown barrel, case hardened lock, brass mount with checkered wrist. Mounted with swing swivels and large baker-style brass patchbox. The rifle remains in fine to excellent original condition with 90-95% original brown on barrel. Just a couple areas of erosion and pinprick pitting, but very crisp edges and beautiful tobacco brown with striping. The lock shows 60-80% case hardening, just starting to drift to silver. Original case hardened hammer and frizzen with some toning and light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The breech and tang show traces of case hardening going silvery grey. There is some dried oil and just starting metal age. The rifle shows a platinum plug and the bore is excellent and shows almost no use. The stock is very good plus with sharp checkering and would be fine other than an area of compression and small losses just above the trigger and below the lock plate on the

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
