Flintlock Chief’s rifle, .60 caliber smooth bore, 36-1/2” barrel, full stock with brass furniture and raised silver Chief’s plaque on top of stock wrist. This gun is in overall good untouched condition and the way collectors love to find these historic pieces. The barrel is “London” marked with proofs; the action is very good, the bore dark, the wood stock is good overall with a lovely patina and scattered nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage. The breech shows moderate pitting around the touch hole from use as does the lock plate under the pan. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
