Throssel was half Crow Indian, and pursued his pictorial photography on the Crow Reservation in Montana. a) Night scene. Tipi and tree and figure nicely illuminated by firelight. 8" x 6" print, double mounted. Throssel's 1907 copyright in the negative, signed and dated 1909 by him on mount recto, and his "Crow Agency" stamp on verso. Minor tears, small hole, two stain spots. [D3] b) Carrying wood to village. 8" x 6" print, woman carrying poles to village. Double mounted. Throssel's 1907 copyright in the negative, signed by him on the mount recto. Titled in pen "Through the Fog" with his Crow Agency Stamp on verso. Stain and light abrasion. [2] c) Two figures on horseback. Mounting and signing like the others. Minor vertical stains.
