A combination of personal and expedition business. Brief excerpts from the letters: <B>December 9, 1931</B></I>- "...I am afraid I will not be abel to get down to the Army-Navy game...I am delighted to hear that the Tide Water Oil Company is going to help us again, and I hope they are going to detail you as before..." <B>January 24, 1933</B></I>- "The gift was a beautiful mahogany clock with a bronze plate bearing an inscription from the expedition members..." <B>May 5, 1933</B></I>- "...list of oil and gasoline for the Tidewater people so that they can arrange for containers and shipment...11,000 Gal. High Test...1,000 Gal. Commercial Gasoline...1,000 Gal. Kerosene...500 Gal Extra Heavy Oil...500 Gal.
