AFL commission naming Simon D. Sullivan a District Organizer. Fine condition. Gompers (1850-1924) was one of the AFL's founders back in 1886.<BR><B>John L. Lewis Typed Letter Signed,</B></I> one page on embossed UMW letterhead, 7” x 9” , n.p., March 22, 1940, to Philip W. Porter, Cleveland, Ohio. A brief letter of regret for being unable to make an appearance. Very fine condition. Lewis, President of the United Mine Workers of America from 1940-1960 was the leading labor organizer of his era.<BR><B>David Dubinsky Autograph Card,</B></I> 5” x 3”, n.p, n.d. Accompanied by a secretarial letter on Ladies' Garment Workers Union letterhead and dated November 4, 1971. Excellent condition. Russian immigrant Dubinsky led this important New York-based labor union for over 30 years.<BR><B>Arnold Miller Typed Letter Signed,</B></I> one page on UMW letterhead, Washington, D.C., August 13, 1973. The progressive Miller led the UMWA from 1972 until 1979. Here he promises an autographed photo that is not included.
