Five 17th century ivory silk panels, worked for a needlework box in a variety of silk stitches with chenille work detail, raised work and applied needlepoint motifs. The centre panel is worked with a lady holding a bird and flanked by a leopard and lion in a castle landscape, 8.5in x 12.5ins. The side panels are worked with a hunting scene, animals, birds, insects and fruiting boughs, two @ 3.5ins x 1ft 1ins and two @ 3.5ins x 9ins, mounted and framed as one. £3,000-4,000
