Union general and politician (1816–1878). War-dated ALS signed “Fitz Henry Warren, Col. Commanding Post,” one page, lightly-lined, 7.5 x 4, March 30, 1862. Brief letter to Quartermaster Carr. In full: “Will furnish Sergeant Clark with a horse for temporary use.” Letter is inlaid to a slightly larger off-white sheet. A central horizontal fold, a few stray ink marks, and light show-through from docketing on reverse, otherwise fine condition.
